INTRODUCTION

To reach the unreached as part of pay back to society, the “Baba Saheb Ambedkar Social Equity and Empowerment Mission (ASEEM)” was constituted by a group of doctors from Rajasthan. An initial meeting was held in JMA Hall, Jaipur on 17 July 2016 under guidance of senior doctors of Jaipur and nearby areas. It was envisioned to fulfil the dreams of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Abmedkar towards equity and empowerment of women, poor, and those who left behind from vulnerable sections of society.

The ASEEM was officially came into existence on 24 August 2016 at Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Rajasthan Government, Jaipur. The society was registered under Rajasthan Society Registration Act, 1958 with Reg. No. 484/Jaipur/2016-17. The broader aim of the ASEEM is to achieve social equity and empowerment of the society through promotion of health, education and livelihood means, fight against injustice, and awareness of rights among people of vulnerable sections of society.

Components of logo signifies;

Fist” signifies as the unity and the power of the society.
Human chain around the fist” represents a second hand-holding of people as our collaborative emotions of supporting the vulnerable sections of the society.
Blue color” is a symbol of our revolutionary sentiment to reach the unreached.
Wings on both sides” indicates our flying ambitions towards limitless height of human values and morale.
Five colors of wings” is faith in becoming a non-discriminatory, equitable, educated, compassionate, brotherly society that is based on Buddhism.
Blue: Loving kindness, peace and universal compassion
Yellow: The Middle Path – avoiding extremes, emptiness
Red: The blessings of practice – achievement, wisdom, virtue, fortune and dignity
White: The purity of Dhamma – leading to liberation, outside of time or space
Orange: The Buddha’s teachings – wisdom
